Shake-up on the Road to Love

This April is packed with cosmic weather; nothing that by itself is earthshaking, but taken as a whole it appears to be a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on.

Setting up the shaking is the partial solar eclipse that happned on March 29 in 10°Aries, the chandra symbol of which is “Roots of a tree entwined around the statue of a nude woman.”

The little-known secret of Aries is its key to Relationship.

Usually seen as the sign of Self, the missing piece is that we each have many subselves that compose our wholeness, and on the way to love and wholeness the Aries in us is wrestling with those subselves that stand in the way of the freedom which can only come from becoming fully present to all that life offers.

This Solar eclipse demands that we take a stand and make sure of the ground we stand on before rushing off half-cocked to meet external clamor and drama.

If you root yourself deeply in your body and soul, you can join the resurrective currents of the new world that are streaming through the dying husk of the old.

Becoming present, free and clear, by harnessing the power of this wild rebellious sign, not to dominate outer battles, but to unify the many disparate parts of yourself, is the summons that sets up this Spring of the Snake.

In April Mercury goes direct, Then Venus goes direct, then Saturn sextiles Uranus, Juno backs up into Scorpio, Mercury enters Aries, Mars enters Leo, the Sun enters Taurus, Saturn conjuncts the Dragon’s Head, followed by the New Moon in Taurus, and, finally, Venus enters Aries at the end of the month.

None of these movements by themselves is radical or rare, but taken altogether, fixed attitudes and cherished ideas are going to be severely put upon, pushing you to decide which parts of the dying world are worth holding onto or regenerated, and which are better relinquished.

Surrender is the word of the season, but it takes profound self-knowledge to know what to let go of and what to hold onto.

About Mark Borax

Mark Borax has been a nomadic poet his whole life. In the late seventies he traveled the U.S. and Canada performing and selling his poetry. In the mid-eighties, Mark was befriended by his adolescent idol, writer Ray Bradbury, who became his literary godfather, believing in Mark's writing even though it was taking forever. In 1984 he became a comic book writer and the managing editor of Comics Interview magazine. In 1998 Mark rode his Harley Davidson Low Rider, through the U.S. and Europe, stopping for a year in the Tuscan countryside of Northern Italy. Mark's first book, 2012: Crossing the Bridge to the Future, is a bestseller that describes the author's seven-year apprenticeship to visionary astrologer Ellias Lonsdale. Under the redwoods in northern California they created a mystery school which birthed a new form of astrology called Star Genesis, that helps people contact their core nature and life purpose. Mark's new book (co-authored with Ellias) is a Cosmic Weather Report that inspires readers to rethink the whole purpose of humankind and bring on a new future.
